What is Freemasonry
Freemasonry is the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world. Fourteen presidents has been masons. A number of famous Nebraskans, including Buffalo Bill, William Jennings Bryan, General John J. Pershing, Senators George Norris and J. James Exon have been masons.
The organization is dedicated to the fellowship of all men. Freemasonry encourages it's members to strive to better men and citizens. It is a charitable organization supporting the less fortunate.
Masonic organizations receive their charters through a Grand Lodge located in every state. Each Lodge in Nebraska has a Charter and adheres to the rules established by the Grand Lodge. The Lodge Officers are elected yearly by the members.
