Recent Events
2012 Officers Elected - Senior Officers for 2012 were selected on November 2, 2011. Jairo Cabieles was selected as Master for 2012.
Halloween - The lodge was all decked out for visiting "goblins", and other halloween visitors. Families and children enjoyed the decorations, cookies, and other treats. Information on the various Masonic organizations was also shared. (See pictures in our Gallery)
2011 Gargage Sale - All Masonic groups meeting at our lodge donated items for the annual garage sale. The sale was very well attended. Procedes will be used for Lodge upkeep.
Lodge Cleanup - On May 7, 2011 thel lodge cleanup focused on a variety of projects in the kitchen. Some work was done on the door to the kitchen, the stove, and the partition separating the kitchen from the social area.
2011 Past Masters Dinner - Several Past Masters, friends and family met for a meal of salsbury steak, chicken and the fixings. A 50 year pin was awarded to George Douglas by current Worshipful lMaster Jason Phelps. Joe Peters from the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth updated the members on their fundraising efforts.
2011 Lodge Soup Supper- Members of the Masonic community, friends and family gathered at the Lodge on March 26, 2011, for chili, stews and red pepper gouda soup. Free will offerings benefited Masonic charities.
2010 Lodge Proficiency - College View Lodge was determined proficient on December 1, 2010
Masonic Work- James Shaw received the Entered Apprentice Degree on November 17, 2010.
2010 Summer Barbeque - A barbeque iwas held at the Lodge on Wednesday, September 22nd. The fun began at 6:30 P.M. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and a variety of side dishes were served along with some excellent desserts. Around thirty members and their families and friends attended. A great time was had by all.
2010 Past Masters Dinner - The annual Past Masters Dinner was held at the Lodge on May 12, 2010. The dinner was attended by around 20 Freemasons and family. A dinner of fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravey, corn, and several salads were served. The dinner was finished with a wonderful cheesecake. A Masters pin was awarded to Luke Olson.
2010 Lodge Clean Up - Member of College View, Bennett, and Hickman Lodges all pitched in for the annual lodge clean up and fix up on Saturday, May 8, 2009. A new stainless steel sink and faucet were installed, preparation work was started for the installation of new exterior lights and a solid door. Some yard work was completed, as well as some painting was completed on the window wells. A great deal of spring cleaning was done inside and outside of the lodge. The Job's Daughter's provided lunch of sloppy joes and baked beans Saturday also signaled the end of the annual food drive for the Masonic groups sharing the lodge donated to thr annual food drive, with Capitol Chapter of the Eastern Star winning the friendly competition.
2010 St. Patrick's Day Dinner - Members of College View Lodge celebrated St. Patrick's Day at the lodge with corned beef and cabbage with all the timmings.
Masters Work- Masters Degree Work was held for James Moles on October 21, 2009 and in February of 2010 for Ben Burck and Luke Olson. Master's Degree Work was held for Cody Moody on May 26, 2010..
2010 Annual Soup Supper - The annual soup supper was held on November 4, 2009. A wide variety of soups were served including chili, chicken noodle, and red pepper gouda, The event was very well intended with procedes going to charity.
2009 Lodge Clean Up - The annual lodge clean up was held on May 9, 2009. Various projects were completed including work on a new door, molding, and yard cleanup. The Job's Daughter provided lunch.
Masters Dinner- The annual Masters dinner was held at the lodge on April 15, 2009. Twenty member and their guests were treated to an excellent meal.
Bronze Jorden Medal - On January 21, 2009, Bob Orshek was recognized for reaching 50 years in Masonry. He received a pin recognizing this achievement. Prior to the ceremony, the members were treated to a dinner of ham and potatoes.
Fifty Year Pin -On November 5, 2008 Don Schaufelberger was awarded the Bronze Jordan Medal in a public ceremony. Congratulations Brother Don. (pictured on left below)
